unleashed

i have been listening to my music playlist lately again. i love music, i do, but sometimes, i tend to get too absorbed in working. very wrong indeed, but it happens to me (and probably to some of you as well).

a few days ago, a friend of mine gave me an MP3 file of a song she likes, and she wanted me to listen to it. and whoala! it was as if the music lover in me was unleashed! for the last few days, i don't feel very satisfied if i don't have immediate access to my phone because i always have this feeling that i need to hear music while working, while walking, while doing anything at all.

it's not becoming a distraction so i don't have any problem with that. so, if anyone is thinking of buying me a gift for whatever occasion, a classic acoustic guitar tuner will do (leveling up, huh?!). :-)

have a great week ahead!

business day as usual

Tuesday.

life is simple

this is your life. do what you love, and do it often. if you don't like something, change it. if you don't like your job, quit.

magandang umaga, pilipinas!

i'm not sure what is with me right now, but i really feel like it's a saturday. i'm sure yesterday has got to do with it -- it felt like friday yesterday. :-D funny as it may seem, but again, what's with the confused body clock in me?

around 7:00am, south super highway
it's not as if i had a honeymoon paris-like vacation and travelling through different timezones messed up my body clock. well, it's more of a body calendar. :-D

black or white?

i think i mentioned before that i only prefer Android over iOS gadgets because of affordability. i mean, i think they both have their own strengths in terms of software and hardware (i'm mostly leaning toward Apple when it comes to the hardware). but when you are offered a huge discount on an iOS device, who are you to say no?

why choose only one? :-)

Google Philippines

Have you heard? :-) Google has just launched its office here in the Philippines. It's going to be a marketing/sales office for now, I guess, but maybe soon they'll consider putting up a technical team here as well. Good luck, Google!

Google Team Pilipinas!
Internet giant Google Inc. announced on January 23 the opening of its Philippine office in Makati City. In the driver's seat is Country Manager Narciso Reyes, who brings with him over 16 years of experience in digital marketing and finance.

Twenty Twelve*

January is already over. And I am now going to start my year. =)

In the mood for being positive, I am”feeling” that this month will start a good 2012 for me. Since January has been sooo hectic, I really didn’t feel the new year coming—January seemed like the month of making up for all the petiks and the gastos of December.

I think I have already recharged. So I will now start my new year today (Happy New Year!). For starters, I am so excited that my tiny food business will already start next week. I am a bit nervous, but I am being positive. Also, only barely 2 months is left before summer vacation. I can’t wait! This is gonna be my first summer without office work. So it’s easier to go out of town, or just enjoy. =) Perhaps I could also play tennis every day! Who knows? I might still win cheap plastic storage bins as prices (naaah, I’m too old!).

I figured that even if I did not have a very good start, at least I could still have a very good end for this year. =)

legally bland

Mordsith is on almost halfway on her last year in law school. I saw the post below and it somehow made me smile because i also felt her 'ups and downs' since Day 1. Just sharing this to you, in case you haven't read this from her now inactive blog.

Well, another semester has just passed. Looking back, I really had the hardest time in law school; I even had to quit my office job. Let’s pray I did ok. =)
Anyway, most of the time, laws are BORING. Why with all those long sentences, one can’t help but just doze off. But there are interesting stuff though [but perhaps not as interesting as looking for homes for sale in Manteo NC]. A warning though, it’s not as funny as The Simpsons or as crazy as YOU! haha. So for this semester, these are the best things I have learned:
[boring stuff - Hehehe.]
I really enjoy sharing law-related trivias to people (especially to eks, who always acts interested!). So maybe next time, I’d share some interesting things again. I won’t wait for the whole sem to be over. =)

the piano

here's another one of my old posts from my other site.

I used to play the piano. For two years. I stopped playing when my music teacher stopped coming over to our house. The truth is I was just forced to study the piano (at that time, I wanted to enroll to Taekwondo classes). At times, I even pretended to sleep until noon or just until my music teacher leaves the house.

My teacher said I learned fast. I easily learned reading the notes, and I could memorize a piece faster than my classmate-cousins could. The thing is I forgot to play the piano as fast as I learned it. And now, this is my regret.

I failed to see then how wonderful it is to know how to play a musical instrument. How good it is to produce music. Especially that I can’t sing, perhaps playing the piano was as close to music as I could be (aside from listening, of course), considering that I am proclaiming myself as a lover of music. Now, there are different kinds of instruments, a modern twist to the classic ones (like the minimoog at Musician's Friend), and I could only wish I know how to play again. Talaga naman. Nasa huli ang pagsisisi.

bruno mraz

just want to share this funny incident yesterday when i was in a bus on my way to manila. a beautiful song was playing and one of the passengers near me almost shouted, "i love this song! this is by bruno mraz!" oh well. i tried to hide my laughter but it was just too much. she noticed me laughing, and i don't know if she realized what i was laughing about, because she whispered something to her seatmate. d doubt if she whispered thermoplastic hydraulic hose or something like that because the seatmate also looked at me after. hehehe.

i was a bit embarrassed for laughing like that, but, comm'on! bruno mraz? wouldn't laugh at that? :-)

peekaboo

I think the cutest part in babies’ life is when they start talking and interacting and they’re still bulol. haha. They aren’t too dependent anymore, and they already have preferences. Keng already knows which clothes she prefer or what watch to wear (she always chooses big Ben Ten watches over smaller toys, like native goggles). They’re like talking baby dolls or qouting my tito, “parang manikang de susi“!

Plus, she already knows how to get attention without crying. And she knows how to get people do what she wants. haha. And she still loves playing with family. =)

Well, I hope time doesn’t fly that fast. I still want to savor these adorable years. I don’t wanna be surprised that she’s a lady already. =)

happy new year everyone!!!

nothing but the best... this is what i wish for all of my friends and family.

and to all of you (no matter how many you are) reading this. :-)

new year, new blog

I'm starting a new blog. There are a lot of reasons but primarily it's because I am kinda losing control on what to write here. If you are one of my "avid" readers, you'll notice that the last few posts are mostly dahil sa pangangailangan. Hehehe. I have actually started the other blog already but I cannot maintain it regularly. I will try now, starting this week.

I'm just trying to research some stuff that I need to I can protect the site from online attacks, malwares, etc. I am checking ESET Smart Security resource if I can use it to ensure that my blog will be virus free.

If you want to take a peek, here it is. :-)

wants and needs

It is an undeniable fact that some of us consider mobile phones as a need, and not a want or a luxury. I do consider my mobile phones (a feature phone for most texting and calling; and a smartphone for work-related stuff). I don't think I would be needing more than two smartphones. But if your network provider calls you and offer you another smartphone (one of the best if not the best) for almost 100% discount, wouldn't you avail of such an offer?*

Argh! I think I will. :-D

*It's like will you avail of a pentair pool pump if discounted for 90% even if you don't really need one because you can just borrow it from your neighbor.

post-new year's eve post

So, how was your new year's eve celebration, guys? There was a lot of fireworks in our place and for a moment last night, it felt like lab furnaces surround our house as it was really hot, smoky outside. I only got to watched the "spectacles" for a few minutes, though, because our dog was so afraid of the fireworks. I had to accompany her inside the house so she won't feel alone. I cannot imagine myself watching the fireworks display outside while Mocha is hiding somewhere because she's afraid. :-( It even came to a point when I and my sister had to accompany Mocha inside our car because the fireworks can't be heard that much inside the car. Hayyyy...

I guess next year I would have to ask my brother to record the fireworks so I can watch it later. Hehehe.

reality check

Some wishful thinkings are just good for that – wishful thinking – IF you do nothing. For the past few weeks (perhaps months), I've been wishing so hard of having some not-so-simple stuff – a new car, a new house (been searching in fact some Oak Island real estate at SeaCoastRealty.com), a MacBook Pro, and a 6-pack abs. ;-) I realized they can either remain as such, or they can be a reality if I really wish hard… I mean, work hard. I guess I just need to discipline myself… to stick to my plans, execute them, and get my reward.

And this 2013, that is exactly what I would do. Peksman. :-)
