black or white?

i think i mentioned before that i only prefer Android over iOS gadgets because of affordability. i mean, i think they both have their own strengths in terms of software and hardware (i'm mostly leaning toward Apple when it comes to the hardware). but when you are offered a huge discount on an iOS device, who are you to say no?

why choose only one? :-)

Think out of the box (with rounded corners)

We all know this is not just between Apple and Samsung. Google is a very, very important player in this war.  That being said, I'm sure you know where I stand. Hehehe. Let me share a portion from a ZDNET article:
You may have noticed that all smartphones and tablets tend to look like each other. There's a reason for that. They all do the same things, they're all meant to fit in a human hand, and the phones are meant to place the receiver at your ear and the transmitter at your mouth. None of Apple's design patents should have been granted in the first place. - Source
Ang masasabi ko lang: Always think out of the box! Is the box patented? Tear. It. Up. Put some cedar garland. Make it original! :-)

Highway 54

I remember a friend of mine having this funny experience. Her boss asked the team if any of them has a smartphone he can borrow. So this guy took his Blackberry and showed it to the boss, "Here!"

The boss looked at him, then, to the other members of the team: Anyone has a SMARTER phone?

Hehehe. It's really amazing how fast technology has improved in the last couple of years. A few years back, only a few people (notably scientists and tech researchers) have access to touchscreeen technology. During that time, audio and web conferencing is more like a myth than a regular thing that we do now. A couple of years after Apple started its iDevices revolution, user experience became the standard in mainstream mobile technology. (Android revolution of course is not after the user experience... it's more into finding the limitations of a system or device an breaking them. Oh yeah this is a biased post. Hehehe.)

Anyway, as I was saying, technology has gone so fast that the once-pioneer BlackBerry is now considered not-so pioneer. :-) It was qwerty keyboard before. Now, it's touch screen and voice recognition. Truth is, I won't be surprised if Google announced a higher version of Android, "Android 5.0: Now with ESP".

Err... Highway 54... mobile technology... etc. Di ko din alam relasyon niyan. Wala lang ako magawa sa taxi. :-D

Apple (iOS) versus Android War Is Over

Let me quote the article from Gizmodo verbatim:
This, my friends, may be the end of the smartphone fanboy wars. I can give my two cents. The rest of the tech community can give theirs. But God Almighty himself, through his appointed papal mouthpiece, has picked a winner.
Hehehe. The article is just outright funny. I didn't go as far as to verify if the Vatican indeed made a press statement about this, but the source is MSNBC... so... I guess they already did their own verification/validation of the news. Here's what Vatican said, according to MSNBC, by the way:
Benedict XVI will activate the illumination from his apartments in the Vatican Apostolic Palace. He will touch the screen of a Sony "Tablet" with an "Android" operating system which, via the Internet, will transmit the command to switch on the electric current to the tree.

Between the green robot and the sinful fruit, the former is closer to my heart. So, here you go:

I guess Jobs didn't go along so well with St. Peter up there.
Android wins!!! Now, All I need some loans preferably with fixed annuity rates so i can buy my next gadget.

Going Android

I was at SM yesterday and I can't help but notice some new phone models on sale! They have Nokia, Samsung, and all other smart phones. Whew! I recently won an N8 (which is now with my brother) but truth be told, I don't really like the N8. Not exactly "don't like" but, I want an Android phone (htc sense or desire will do). Nokia uses Symbian technology.

Android phones are more customizable. If you like your phone to be really smart, it should be very versatile and compatible with many widgets and downloadable applications. Android is a product of Google. 'Nuff said.

Anyway, I guess I'll have to wait for lady luck to knock on my door again. Smart phones are not as affordable as they advertise them to be. Hehehe. Work, work, work!
