Looooonng weekend

As early as Friday last week, people have started to go back to their provinces or be a local tourist courtesy of the long weekend that is almost here. Legally, there will be 4 days of vacation starting this Thursday. But to some people (like in my case when I was still with a local publishing company), it's a week-long vacation. Yay!

Anyway, I do hope everyone will take good care of themselves and the authorities will make the necessary precaution to make this long weekend a happy and safe one. I don't want to hear another Maritime injury being reported in TV just because the boat/ship was overloaded, or another road accident because the driver is under the influence of liquor.

Just be safe, everyone, yeah?

Long weekend. Again.

It's twice in a row already. It's long weekend once again. If the government will change its mind, Tuesday might even be a nonworking holiday also. Well, for most people who are so stressed out from work, this is the time for them (us!) to relax, to unwind, to forget thinking about productivity statistics, to set aside planning how to deal with Outer Banks foreclosures, to make some roadtrips, and to basically do anything not totally related about work.

I am on my way to my hometown a little up north and excited to see my mom's little garden. Hehehe. And to the rest of you guys planning out-of-town trips or something, good luck to you all and be safe.

Thank You, Ninoy and Other Heroes, Not just for Saving Our Country...

Guys, did you know that two long weekends (well, for those who are working in the corporate world) are fast approaching now? August 21 is Ninoy Aquino Day (so, Friday to Sunday) and August 31 is National Heroes Day (so, Sunday to Monday). This means you should already be planning your trip to that very beautiful beach up north or down south as early as now. In fact it might be too late already.

Well, actually, it's not yet too late. I mean, you still have at least two weeks before the first long weekend, and more than three weeks for the second long weekend. And if you have your own car (unfortunately for me, my budget/savings is only good for a car seat), going out of town is really not that complicated. You just fill your car with gas, choose a destination, and whoala! You're on your way to your destination.

As for me, I am planning to spend those two long weekends watching 24 and House! (Remember that post for Patricia? :-)) Hehehe. But if anyone of you would like to invite me for a joy ride, please, please, do not hesitate to do so.
