My birthday wishlist (that didn't come true*)

I know these gadgets will probably have a lot of competition even before 1Q 2011 ends, but I guess it's not that bad to wish for these stuff even if the future holds something else for them gadgets.

3. Kindle. :-)

2. LG Optimus Black - Whew! Sleek and awesome!

1. Macbook Air! - If you've seen one of these, you know why this is my number 1. :-)

There you go.

*Guys, you have the power to make all these come true. My email address is also my Paypal account username, in case you want to send thousands of pesos for me. :-) (Hehehe, I'm like a kid in the search for the happiest chocolate gift during Christmas.)

Planning to buy a new phone. Help?

OK, I've been suffering (what a big word for my trivial problem) so much from my current phone. The ear piece is just so damaged... and the reception is really dull (and I think it has nothing to do with the network). My original plan is to wait for my lock-in period to lapse so I can have a new phone for free, but when I asked the network's CSR, they told me I can only have a new phone by December. Shucks.

So, I've been spending hours and hours of Internet surfing time to find a new phone to buy, and finally, I got one.

White iPhone 4 Diamond Edition surfaces, yours for 20K US dollars
The white version of the iPhone 4 isn't available just yet but its first luxury edition has already surfaced. Covered with a handful of shiny diamonds, only fifty of those will be made so you better hurry up if you want to get one. The black version of the Apple iPhone 4 has been available for a week or two now and already got its exclusive edition thanks to Gresso, but now it's the white one's turn to get the same treatment. The unimaginatively named iPhone 4 Diamond Edition is delivered by luxury designer Stuart Hughes.
The iPhone 4 Diamond Edition frame and its solid platinum Apple logo at the back are encrusted with a total of approximately 6.5 carats of diamonds. Underneath you'll find yet another unlocked iPhone 4 32GB in white.
Along with the phone itself you'll also get a thin ostrich foot leather wallet large enough to accommodate up to 4 credit cards. Only 50 units of the iPhone 4 Diamond Edition will be produced and sold worldwide and each will cost 13 000 GBP (around 20 000 US dollars).

So, 20,000 USD is about a million pesos. Alright, will buy one tomorrow.

Red Fox WizBOOK: My Sister’s New Laptop

So, she bought a new laptop/notebook yesterday — a black Red Fox WizBOOK. It is so bbbbeautiful! It’s not a kick-ass laptop like the Ferrari of Acer (?) or that very thin laptop from Apple but I can see it’s far better in appearance and specs than my company-issued Dell before. See the specs:
  • 1.6 GHz, Intel ATOM
  • 80 Gig HD memory
  • 1 Gig RAM
  • Wifi ready
  • and the usual stuff you receive from a not-so high-end laptop.
Available in black, white, and red/black 'combo'

The only (temporary) setback is that its OS is Linux, something we are all not so familiar at. I have a very little familiarity with it but not enough for me to be brave enough to meddle with its configurations (but I’m doing it anyway, hehehe). I might reformat it to Windows XP, though.
My sister wants to have a new laptop for a few reasons:
  • I have a lot of writing/editing gigs and I cannot handle them anymore, so, I am giving a portion of this work to her.
  • She wants to make a blog because she wants to have an online portfolio which she wants to use, well, for whatever reasons she may deem necessary. (I told her to apply to commercial paying Web sites for extra income.)
  • She has some extra work from her regular job and she wants to maximize her time by working on them even if she’s not in the office.
And because our router is the wired one, we had to buy a long LAN cable for her, hehehe. We have to PCs at home already and the space is not enough for another table, so, the LAN cable network extends to anyplace in the house, much like a wireless connection. Nyahaha!

I originally intended to buy one on my own, but I think I’ll have to postpone that. I’ll just upgrade my desktop here in the meantime.
