tomorrow is my brother's birthday. it took me a while to decide what to give him. you see, there are special circumstances why i want to give him something special. one, he really doesn't want to buy things for himself. while he is a techie (and a software engineer at that), he doesn't really spend on gadgets. he has a Nokia 8 (which we got from a contest a couple of years back) and an android phone (which i got from my postpaid plan). he also has a PSP, which i and my sister bought for him a couple of years ago. (he does own a laser barcode scanner -- really -- but he just got it from his office. and i don't know why he even wanted one.)

two, he really is of big help to me. whenever i need anything (be it financial or anything at all), he will definitely offer a helping hand. always.

so, my gift to him? something like this. :-)

busy day

today is such a busy* day for me... for most of us at the office.  and no, this is not a rant post. i am actually happy.

i was supposed to meet a friend of mine today in manila but i had to cancel due to our workload. well, good thing is she sees this as a blessings in disguise for me. i mean, busy = work, right? oh well.

i really don't have much to say except that i prayed for more work... and it's here. and i'm happy. :-)

*so busy that if you buy a ph meter and measure us, you'd probably see how acidic our aura is. (huh?)

almost christmas

have you drafted your wishlists already? i made a list a few months ago but it needs updating. (and by the way, the first christmas gift i received this year is from TPS. thanks, TPS!)

an LED TV (along with all accessories like flat screen mounts, speakers) is definitely included in my wishlist, a tablet, perhaps, and definitely a new pair of running shoes! hehehe.

anyway, my wishlist is coming, and please feel free send me giftseven if they are not in my wishlist.

and I'm back!

Whew! It's been quite some time since I last made a post on this blog. Almost two months... It was like I was not home for weeks and I was not able to maintain my house... whatever is left of it to maintain. :-)

Anyway, the reality is actually not far from what happened in my blog. It's been a while since I last clean our condo unit and I'm beginning to get uncomfortable with always losing my things in the pile of 'garbage' in the room. So, tomorrow, before the long weekend kicks in, I will be cleaning the place all day. Hehehe. Will probably be throwing a way a lot of things. I'll be needing a lot of boxes and perhaps box cutters from MartorUSA.com (who cares where it would come from!). This should be fun.

Halloween na!

In the spirit of the almost-here holiday, this post will be about -- Halloween! Ever wonder where "Halloween" came from? Got this online:

The word Halloween was first used in the 16th century and represents a Scottish variant of the fuller All-Hallows'-Even ('evening'), that is, the night before All Hallows' Day. In other countries, during the ancient times, this is also known as the festival of the dead, which starts as early as the 29th of October,and ends on the 3rd of November. Hallow's Eve could also mean the Eve of Halloween and Halloween is the Eve of All Saints' Day. Although the phrase All Hallows' is found in Old English (ealra hālgena mæssedæg, mass-day of all saints), All-Hallows-Even is itself not seen until 1556.

It will probably be party-everywhere tomorrow. And I'm sure a lot of you will be attending not just one party a night starting, perhaps tomorrow. So, enjoy Halloween guys!
